Summer begins for everyone, but this year is not the same for anyone. With the COVID-19 pandemic, many businesses have been forced to close or postpone their projects. For
Behind Pictures, this is also an unusual summer, as well as being the first we experience as a
3D design studio. We continue working, now more than ever, with many projects underway and new renders and animations to showcase. Today, we are going to explain a bit about how we work and the methods we use to produce high-quality renders.
How does Behind Pictures work?
We like to stay organized, which is why we ask our clients to provide high-quality and complete initial materials. From there, we create a project timeline with defined milestones, including first, second, and third deliveries. We develop the necessary scripts to ensure that each project is clearly defined, whether for static renders or animation. Once everything is planned, the final aesthetic of each project is in the hands of the 3D artist.
What techniques do we use?
There are many
3D software tools available on the market, and each one tends to have its own strengths, although any of them can be used to create excellent designs. When creating architectural content or renders, we generally use
3ds Max by Autodesk and
V-Ray as our rendering engine. If, instead of V-Ray, we want to use a real-time engine for virtual reality projects, we would use Unreal Engine, which is also widely used for video game development. When we move on to product rendering or animation, we prefer to switch to more specialized software. In this case, we particularly enjoy using
Cinema 4D together with the
Redshift Rendering engine. Cinema 4D offers very user-friendly tools to create outstanding content. It is highly versatile, both for creating particles and for handling dynamics.
How are we approaching this new summer?
We currently have many ideas and projects underway that we will be sharing with you throughout the year. To face this unusual summer, we are working on a real estate project aimed at delivering high-quality renders for the sale of residential properties in different areas of Spain.
